Life is not fair; but dwelling on that point is counterproductive to self-advancement. Considering this point is good because we all must realize that destiny is not just simple fate (and shouldn't be so easily accepted), it involves each person’s personal decisions on what goals one wants to set and exactly where one wants to be. Sometimes reaching these goals requires great sacrifice and may take long periods of time, but ask anyone who has done it and they'll tell you that it is well worth it. Anything worth having is worth working and waiting for.
The construction of your goals must be laid with the solid building blocks of experience and learning. It is so true what Tennyson said that, "[we] are a part of all that [we] have met." Experiences, both good and bad, make us what we are. Each of us must set forth with a competent, well thought out plan to forge the path of experience required to reach the personal level of professional, educational and personal success that we have set as our aim.
